KATERlNA E. SIMONETTI is an associate attorney with ESKRIDGE LAW.  Ms. Simonetti received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Davis, where she double majored in both English Literature and Art Studio.  During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Simonetti traveled to the Philippines, where she was born, to intern for her Aunt, Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, in the Philippine Senate.  As a Senatorial Intern, Ms. Simonetti drafted two prominent public safety bills and wrote a formal resolution on a topic that inspired a Senatorial Investigation against a sweat shop guilty of human rights violations.  Ms. Simonetti was a Dean’s List student, and a featured artist in three art shows where she sold several intaglio art pieces.

Immediately after graduating from college, Ms. Simonetti accepted a temporary position as the 9th and 12th grade Honors English Teacher at Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies, where she had once attended high school.  She was also invited to be the school’s Speech and Debate Coach, which she gladly accepted.  Under her tutilage, the Speech and Debate team won several local and national trophies within the Tri Valley Forensic League.

Ms. Simonetti resumed her legal education in 2002, when she attended Southwestern University School of Law.  She was the only student in her class awarded with the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Constitutional Law.  An active student body member, Ms. Simonetti was quickly elected as the class representative for both the Student Bar Association, and Asian Pacific American Law Student Association for three straight years.  While in law school, Ms. Simonetti gained practical legal experience working as a judicial law clerk to Commissioner Armando Moreno.  Prior to becoming an associate at Eskridge Law, Ms. Simonetti worked as a litigation attorney for several solo practitioner law firms in the South Bay and gained comiroom experience in matters including real estate, contract, and premises liability matters.

At Eskridge Law, Ms. Simonetti handles all types of employment matters, real estate matters (including ADA construction access cases), and business law matters.

Apart from the practice of law, Ms. Simonetti is an accomplished oil painter, calligrapher, photographer, and knitter.  Ms. Simonetti speaks fluent Visaya and conversational Tagalog (Filipino languages).  She currently resides in the South Bay with her husband, who is also a Real Estate attorney, and their two beloved cats, Trixie and Meadow.
